The projects are presented to the Project Acceptance Committee, which is held monthly. The Committee is composed of 10 members of the Bureau, 6 guests and 3 permanent representatives from the Centre. Projects must be presented in 20 minutes, with 10 to 12 slides maximum, and 10 minutes are allocated to questions from the Committee’s members.

1st stage:
Project submitted to the Microtechniques Centre: after contacting the Centre, the assistant is in charge of explaining the process by which a project may be certified. The project owner is then sent an explanatory e-mail summarizing the practical details for submitting a project. The project file must be sent at least 15 to 20 days before the Committee meeting date.
2nd stage:
The project owner must forward miscellaneous data about the project and complete the project form that briefly summarizes the project submitted.
The following documents must be sent to the Centre:
- The project’s end-purpose, the set objectives,
- The expected financial and social return,
- Is the project part of a sustainable development policy?
- The partners involved (companies, research laboratories, transfer centres) with formal confirmation of their commitment to the project
- The principal implementation stages (project plan) and the various actors’ effective contribution to this implementation.
Financial items (budget and timetable):
- Investments, purchase costs of amortizable investments
- Expenses:
- Internal costs (labour, non depreciable purchases)
- External costs (services)
- Planned means of funding
3rd stage:
The Centre studies the project. The project owner then receives a confirmation to present the project or not to the Acceptance Committee, giving the appointed date and time. The project owner is asked to send back a list (names/company/partner) of those giving the presentation.
4th stage:
After the project has been presented to the Acceptance Committee, the members deliberate. The selection criteria are:
- Consistency with strategic areas
- Expected returns
- The project’s relevance to a sustainable development approach
- Innovation
- Degree of collaboration (set-up)
5th stage:
If the project is certified, an opinion is prepared and sent to the project owner.
6th stage:
The Microtechniques Centre then presents the project to the Lenders Technical Committee. The committee will then steer the project owner to the most appropriate body for any application for funding.
